Wednesday, April 27, 2011 - Poetry Month
ARTicuLIT Readers Theater will perform "Chicago Voices," readings of poetry by great Chicago poets. Co-sponsored by Highland Park Poetry and the Highland Park Library, held at the Highland Park Library.

The Tenth Anniversary Edition of East on Central will be available at our publication party, held at the Art Center.

2010
A history of writers and artists in Highland Park, presented by Elliot Miller, president of the Highland Park Historical Society, about the rich cultural history of our town.
East on Central and ARTicuLIT Readers Theatre led a workshop to teach the skills involved in giving a dynamic oral presentation. A week later, we held an open reading so that participants could practice what they learned. .
We celebrated Poetry Month with an interactive program: Writing a Poem with a Picture, Painting a Picture with Words, held at the Highland Park Library.

We held a Creative Encounter at the Art Center, linking music to art and writing. You can hear the music, an original composition entitled “Earthsea” by East on Central Contributor, Don Meyer.
