Centricity
Carol Spielman Lezak
Thou art centered in the landscape of life,
filled with symphonic odes of color and vitality,
melodically connected to the universe of the creative soul,
enmeshed in sounds the eye can hear, in sights the ear can see.
The vibration of vision chases away the separation of self,
grounded in sensation that pulls forth emotions deeply felt.
The tones, the shades, the shadows lift, uplift,
and bring desire to the surface, back into the lifescape.
Lyricism merges with visual, tactile, aural,
becoming a penetrating force, a setting
for sensitivities to celebrate themselves.
Centricity and purpose invade the inner voice,
whispering aloud in the solitude that surrounds, comforts,
colors the artist more brilliantly than the hues at hand.
It’s what’s within, the profoundly hidden light of life
observed, noted, illustrated, envisioned, savored
but never, perhaps, fully recognized, never fully seen nor heard nor felt.
